MOPS Meeting

Hello, moms!

If you’re not in a sugar coma from Halloween, please join us Friday, Nov. 1, for our first MOPS meeting of November.

It would be impossible to celebrate our “Beautiful Messes” without addressing, well, our messes. So our topic this week is “combating our clutter.” We’ll be structuring our meeting a little differently. Instead of a speaker, we’re going to share tips on cleaning up our clutter, strategies to avoid the mess and support for those who can feel overwhelmed.

Some things to think about this week:

_ How best should you tackle a huge cleaning/organizing/purging task?
_ An unexpected guest will be over in 15 minutes. What’s your quick cleaning tips?
_ Why do we buy and keep things we don’t need? How can we avoid becoming overly sentimental and attached to possessions?
_ On a scale of 1-10, how worried are you about your mess? How can we become less worried about appearances and more focused on what’s truly important in our homes?

We’ll have special prizes for any mom willing to show us pictures of her mess!

So please join us Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with MOPPETS opening at 9:15 a.m. Table 1 has breakfast.

Melissa and Amy.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a faith-based community that strives to meet the needs of moms with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through the challenges. MOPS also provides opportunities for social outings throughout the year. We meet the first and third Fridays of every month September through May.
