Local Sledding Hills

These are a few sledding hill recommendations from local parents:

•When our kids were little and there was new snow for sledding, we liked to go to GW Wallace Park. It is located at 8501 E.Belleview (parking on Wabash). For a bigger outing we went to a hill just north of Indian Hills on the west side of Parmalee Gulch Rd off 285.

•The Lenski Elementary School hill is small so better for the small kiddos.

•The hill at Arapahoe and Holly is pretty fun for the slightly older ones if you want to head somewhere close or within walking distance. We tried it last year but it was a bit much for our 3 and 5 year old.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a faith-based community that strives to meet the needs of moms with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through the challenges. MOPS also provides opportunities for social outings throughout the year. We meet the first and third Fridays of every month September through May.
